Who is a candidate for this surgery?
Generally the best candidate is someone with localized areas
of protruding fat. These focused deformities have the most
dramatic results. Patients who are slightly overweight can
benefit from suction lipectomy. It is best to be at or near
your normal weight. Liposuction is better as a fine refining
tool after weight loss or for those areas that just will not
go away. Good skin elasticity permits the tissue to shrink
easily to your new contour. There are no absolute age limits
for liposculpture.
